End of Support ‘Sunsetting’ Notice for Systems Survey Maestro Legacy Platform

In March 2021, George Greene, the founder of Systems Survey Maestro and owner of Greene Software LLC, passed away unexpectedly. He was the sole face and voice of Maestro. Questions about what would happen to the software he created, maintained, and supported were certainly numerous, and for a while, difficult to answer. Fortunately, through steadfast persistence to continue the legacy that George built, obstacles were overcome, and the software has been carried forward with the same excellence.

Systems Survey Maestro by Greene Software was formally dissolved on January 1, 2022, with the Systems Survey Maestro software assets formally transferred to Maestro Nutrition LLC. Ownership of the legacy remains in the family, and to that end, our plans have always been to continue to be of service to the practitioners who are loyal to our product.

With that background, and a promise from Maestro Nutrition not to simply exist, but to move our services onward and upward, we announce that the Systems Survey Maestro legacy software has been retired as of September 2023. This decision has been made due to the age of the software and the inability to enhance it to meet the requests and needs of our clients.

It has been a resilient 20+ years since George typed the first bit of code, but the future is here, and with that, we announce that Maestro Nutrition has launched a suite of cloud-based subscription options that replace the legacy platform. The new system offers all the usable features of the legacy platform, but is 100% cloud-based, accessible on any computer via an internet browser, has a modern and user-friendly interface, and a fully usable patient portal.

What does this mean for you as a subscriber to the software.

As a subscriber, you will need to agree to the Terms of Use for Maestro Nutrition and agree to have your current patient data migrated to the cloud. Your current subscription fees may be grandfathered in for a period of 12 months, after which your subscription will convert over to a standard subscription rate (based on the subscription rate present at the end of the grandfathered period). If you decide not to migrate to the cloud, your subscription will permanently end.

What does this mean for you as the owner of the software.

With the purchase of Systems Survey Maestro, an annual maintenance fee was imposed which granted the owner technical support, product and pricing updates, software updates, and software enhancements throughout the paid year.

If you are up to date on your annual maintenance, we want to extend you the offer to move your existing patient data to the new cloud service. You will need to agree to the Terms of Use for Maestro Nutrition and agree to have your current patient data migrated to the cloud. Being that the new cloud software is a subscription-based offering, you will assume a legacy subscription equal to your current Annual Maintenance. Your fees will be grandfathered in for a period of 12 months, after which they will convert over to a standard subscription rate (based on the subscription rate present at the end of the grandfathered period). Additional fees will apply if you also subscribe to the Internet Entry option.

Unfortunately, if you are not up to date on your annual maintenance, we cannot migrate your existing patient data to the cloud. However, you are free to continue using the service by subscribing to one of several subscription plans.

If you do not want to move to the cloud or continue our services, the software you purchased is yours, and you can continue to use it as you see fit. However, the legacy software is retired, meaning the software will no longer be updated, maintained, or supported in any way. We believe that the software developed and sold to you by Greene Software LLC should continue to run as normal up until the point that advancements in technology, operatingsystem compatibility, etc., make the software unusable. Maestro Nutrition makes no claims and does not accept any liabilities for the legacy software’s continued use and/or functionality.
